A Fortnight in Loom Event: Week 2!

I gave you guys all the details for Week 1 of the A Fortnight in Loom event but now I’d like to tell you all about Week 2!

Week 2 is more public friendly than our read-a-long and I have been waiting for this announcement for quite a while! I am super excited to announce that Week 2 of this event will be all about photo challenges! This will enable participants to express themselves, and the love we share for all things Elise Kova, through beautiful and creative photographs.

This will be taking place over on Instagram and I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!

We have created two separate challenges, ‘CHALLENGE 1A’ and ‘CHALLENGE 1B’, that have been divided between those who were approved for ARC’s and those who were not, or weren’t able to request it. This lets us be as fair as possible when it comes to choosing winners from the participants of this upcoming week. The prizes will be revealed today but we will be going into more detail as the week progresses.

And without further ado, I present to you:

CHALLENGE 1A is strictly for those who have an ARC of The Alchemists of Loom! We will be double, triple, even quadruple checking this little detail.

As you can see, we have provided you with different prompts for each day of the week. We tried making them as vague as possible but it is all up to you on how much you are willing to share about the book. Just please warn people beforehand if there will be spoilers since the book isn’t out yet!

And for the prize, there will only be ONE winner who will receive an ultimate bundle of goodies. This includes books, exclusive book swag, jewelry, and more!

And now I present to you:

CHALLENGE 1B is strictly for those who DO NOT have an ARC of The Alchemists of Loom! We will be double, triple, even quadruple checking this as well.

We have substituted a couple prompts from 1A with a few different ones in order to enable everybody else to participate. We feel awful excluding anyone so we thought this was the better option instead of hosting only one photo challenge.

We tried making the prompts as vague as possible once again! The great thing about photo challenges is that they are all about our own personal interpretation. We may all have the same prompt, but we don’t all get the same idea.

And to make the second challenge even more intriguing, we will be giving away a hardcover pre-order copy of The Alchemists of Loom to ONE lucky winner! This will be sent to you from the Book Depository, so please make sure they deliver to you. Since this is a pre-order, Elise will be also be including two exclusive character trading cards along with it. If you do not know what these trading cards are, head on over to [THIS PAGE] and check them out! There are four that you can collect that represent the four main characters of the novel!

As you can see, one prompt in CHALLENGE 1B speaks of the Guild Games. If you’re not part of the Guild Games yet, or have never heard of it before, then make sure you change that asap! You can become a part of it by:

This is a huge MUST in order to participate in any of these challenges!

So if you haven’t been sorted by the [Buzzfeed Quiz] or chosen a Guild for yourself,

please do so [HERE] and join all the fun!

P.S. I am a proud Harvester!

And I end this announcement once again with a big perk for you all:

One of our Week 1 participants, Aly, created a quick video announcing this event! Amy and I are deeply moved by her generosity and I, personally, can’t stop watching it!

Please check her out, her videos are fantastic!

About my co-host, Amy Braun:

Amy is a Canadian urban fantasy and horror author. Her work revolves around monsters, magic, mythology, and mayhem. She started writing in her early teens, and never stopped. She loves building unique worlds filled with fun characters and intense action. She is the recipient of April Moon Books Editor Award for “author voice, world-building and general bad-assery,” and the One Book Two Standout Award in 2015 for her Cursed trilogy. She has been featured on various author blogs and publishing websites, and is an active member of the Writing GIAM and Weekend Writing Warrior communities. When she isn’t writing, she’s reading, watching movies, taking photos, gaming, and struggling with chocoholism and ice cream addiction.

Elise Kova has always had a profound love of fantastical worlds. Somehow, she managed to focus on the real world long enough to graduate with a Master’s in Business Administration before crawling back under her favorite writing blanket to conceptualize her next magic system. She currently lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, and when she is not writing can be found playing video games, watching anime, or talking with readers on social media. She is the author of the USA Today Bestselling Air Awakens Series as well as the upcoming Loom Saga (Keymaster, 2017).
